Thanks to PolyU networking funding secured by Prof. Joanne Yip and Prof. Chloe Ki, SFT students had the exciting opportunity to visit UAL’s London College of Fashion

Funded by the education project “East Meets West: Bridging Art and Fashion Networks between Hong Kong and the United Kingdom” (Network Initiative Scheme 2024–25; PolyU#NI-2401-SFT), 30 students from the PolyU’s School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT) embarked on an enriching 8-day fashion study trip to the London College of Fashion (LCF) of the University of the Arts London’s (UAL) at its Stratford campus, from January 3 to 11, 2025.

The tour offered a dynamic blend of academic lectures and creative workshops, delivered by the renown LCF academic team (including Ms. Liz Gee, Ms. Luis Parada, Dr Satya Banerjee, Ms. Hannah Middleton, Ms. Jessica Ashworth, Ms. Olivia Guthrie and Ms. Hannah Kane). The programme provided students with valuable cross-cultural and interdisciplinary learning experiences in London, one of the world’s fashion capitals. Special thanks to Prof. Joanne Yip, Dr. Chloe Ki, and Dr. Kawai Lo at SFT for leading the study trip and Dr. Ana Roncha from LCF for the facilitation.

We greatly appreciated the opportunity to connect, and the students found the learning experience with LCF truly rewarding.
