Under supervision of Dr. Ki, a team of her students—Ms. Minkyeong Bae, Ms Jiayu Wang, Ms Sophie Xue, Ms. Szeman Chong, and Ms. Olivia Kwon has sucessfuly published their research work titled "Does ChatGPT help or hinder education? Exploring its benefits, challenges, student guilt, and the need for educator training" in the International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology and Education.
Adopting a qualitative content analysis approach, the paper offers a balanced exploration of the advantages and challenges of integrating ChatGPT into education, considering both student and educator perspectives:
Students’ perspective: Whether students feel guilty using it and investigate the reasons behind such guilt.
Educators’ perspective: Identifying the institutional training necessary for its effective integration into teaching.
