East Meets West in Fashion 4.0: Developing AI Literacy and Digital Entrepreneurial Skills in SFT Students through Collaboration with LCF — PolyU SFT x UAL LCF Virtual Exhibition

PolyU School of Fashion and Textiles (Prof. Chloe Ki and Mr. Ryan Houlton), together with Dr. Ryan Yue Chun (formerly of UAL London College of Fashion and now at The University of Manchester), warmly invite you to the “PolyU SFT x UAL LCF Virtual Exhibition.”

This exhibition showcases outstanding student work developed under the Teaching and Learning Grant project: “East Meets West in Fashion 4.0: Developing AI Literacy and Digital Entrepreneurial Skills in SFT Students through Collaboration with London College of Fashion” (Project #8AM3). 

With dedicated funding support, this initiative equipped SFT MA students — across both Business and Design streams — with:

• Strong theoretical foundations in AI

• Hands‑on AI application skills guided by an industry expert

• Critical AI evaluation capabilities through project‑based learning

This integrated pedagogical approach strengthened students’ AI literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset — empowering them to thrive in the rapidly evolving Fashion 4.0 landscape.

The collaboration with London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (UAL) further enriched the experience by fostering international perspectives and cross‑cultural exchange. By integrating academic excellence, industry engagement, and global partnership, the project established a dynamic platform at the intersection of fashion, technology, and innovation.
